This is just perfect for my 8 year old son, who loves to draw comics! He has always just hand drawn grid lines on blank paper, so I am so glad I found this for him! It has a lot of pages, so rather than being just one comic story, it would have to be a large collection of comic stories, to fill all the pages. Our black fine tip pen bled through a little bit, which would have bothered me, but it didn't bother my son. Great gift idea. I will get him more in the future.
I like the variety of layouts in this book, but unfortunately the paper is simply too thin. Even before I draw a thing, I can see the printed lines showing through from page to page. Forget using your usual ink pens to draw: even pencil shows through unless you have an extremely light hand. Disappointing.
I bought 2 of these, I gave one to the son of a friend of mine and I kept one for myself. It has a few different templates that are repeated, which is fine with me,it adds consistency. It is perfect for an anthology or mini comics. I would've liked a large single panel to act as a cover for a new story or introduce a climactic scene. But that's just a minor nitpick. I most likely will be buying more of these as gifts. You can use it as a daily sketchbook if you like,using each panel to draw a small sketch. All in all,it's good for aspiring comic artists of all ages.
I love that this blank comic book has a variety of templates, however I wish the pages were filled edge to edge. I didn't look at the "look inside" feature and just assumed the boxes went to the edges of each page like the cover, but there is a pretty substantial gap. (Going back now I see the huge margins, I might not have purchased knowing that).Either way, I purchased this for my husband for Christmas so I hope he likes it!
I bought this for my daughter who does a lot of artwork and is making her own comic books. She loved it a lot but the only downfall I have is that the markers bleed right through the paper.
Got it for my daughter's birthday and she loves it even though she havent done any drawing on that book yet, but she plans to when she feels her drawings are good enough to be drawn in the book.
Amazing quality. I bought two of these for my comic loving child on his tenth birthday. The pages are thick and would hold up to light marker use without bleeding. The binding is tight and the cover is this and glossy. He’s already putting his imagination to work and I intend to purchase more of these when he’s run out of room. You won’t regret this purchase.
Really love this for the variety of templates. Got several as gifts to go along with drawing books as gifts for 12 year olds who like to draw... anything fun and low tech that promotes creativity in older kids is a plus in my book!!
