Wade Rowland has crafted an excellent historical explanation for dominating Corporate Criminality and GREED. He destroys the creed that Personal Selfishness and Consumerism leads to Community Good as espoused by the Free Market Corporate Mouthpieces. The degradation of Corporate Responsibility to the Public to that of Enhancing Shareholder Value has led to wide spread toxic effects on Customers, Employees, Communituy and Environment. His treatise sets the foundation for deriving solutions to the problems of Corporate Domination and provides a few recommendations for changes, but leaves in depth solutions to the reader and other authors. Good start point for Solutions.
This book helped me understand the subtleties of what's going on around me every day. It's an eye-opening expose into the corporate world and how the people in power can do such evil and still sleep well. I highly recommend this page-turner!
Rowland packs a punch in Greed, Inc. His analysis allows us to view corporations under a whole new light, in what might be his finest book yet. A must read.
