If Privacy is part of your profession, this is an outstanding resource. Not burdened with overly complex regulatory citations, Determann has managed to create a solid, satisfying, highly useful, and practicable guide to global privacy. Including the GDPR. This book won't be your last resource; but it should be your first for creating a privacy program or simply understanding privacy overall.Just a bit of warning. While it is easy to read, it is dense (but full of great information). You won't 'eat' it all in one go, as your wouldn't with one those dense double-chocolate brownies that taste so darn good. But it will be almost as satisfying. Two thumbs up! This guy knows his stuff and makes it easy to understand.
Lothar spoke at our state bar data privacy and security conference, he is extremely knowledgeabe and well informed of what is required today, and what is coming, the book is practical and an excellent resource for any practitioner in data privacy or data security.

I purchased this on digital format from google, because it was cheaper. I have a strong suspicion that these reviews are from colleagues. This book is all over the place its not very structured or formatted. You are better of reading the gdpr straight from the web. I did not find this book helpful at all.
