This is a must have book for anyone beginning to learn SolidWorks. The lessons in each chapter are very detailed and straight forward, however, when it comes to the exercises, they are way too difficult for what has been taught in each chapter. The book needs to provide more examples that will help it's readers in completing the exercises. With that being said, I think the book is easy to understand, and if you watch tutorials on Youtube in conjunction with reading the book, you will have enough information to be able to complete the exercises.
Needed this book for class, So much more affordable from amazon than my college. It has also been quite helpful for reference during class. I dont have a lot of experience with text books on solidworks, however this one sure is not bad if you are looking for one!

The book is awesome. The instruction is clear. The quality on some of the dimension exercises need to be more clearly printed; this is the only draw-back. overall, the book will teach you solidworks.
