It’s easy, sometimes, to be judgmental and annoyed by children who have odd or puzzling behavior. This book gives friendly insight about a little crow named Otto who has autism, without being preachy or clinical. I love the gentle way his story is told and the illustrations are so cute and colorful!
Beautifully written, engaging, and extremely insightful. If you know someone with autism or want to know more about it, this book is for you! It will capture your heart as it did mine.

I love Otto! He and Piper captured my heart. I am so happy we added this to our library! We will definitely be reading it again soon.Otto loves yellow, swings, and story time. His sister, Piper, narrates as she explains that Otto doesn't speak but communicates by different means.This is a wonderful way to introduce or explain how ASD can manifest for children who may not understand why a child in their class, at the library, or in the neighbor behaves and communicates differently than they do.
We love this book in our family! The message is one that is so good for children to understand from a young age, but I find it just as important for me to read and remind myself to always start with understanding, not judgement, and to see the sweet differences in all of us that make us unique but the same in our desire to be loved. We love the illustrations too, and it's such a fun book to look through and see something new each time.
This book should be on every child’s bookshelf! It is a beautifully written story about two siblings, one who has autism. This book teaches love, compassion, and understanding in a playful and adorable way. The story is beautiful and the illustrations are captivating. Love this book!!!
