This book has some great recipes for first time juicers or anyone trying to get healthy. It will get you nutrients you need without having to eat all the required vegetables to do so. I am trying to do as low carb as necessary and I have to be careful with the ones containing a lot of fruit. The recipes are very easy to follow and there is a nice explanation for each recipe that tells you what that particular one is good for. They do require a juicer so make sure you are planning to either get one or already have one. I struggle to get all the nutrients I need, even with eating several servings a day and if you look at some of the recipes, there is no way a person would typically eat the amount of fruit and vegetables in one sitting so you are easily getting more nutrients into your diet. I am anxious to see if I can get my iron levels up with some of these recipes. Thank you for a great recipe book!The version I got was for my kindle and I was viewing from my phone so the recipes flowed onto multiple pages. Perhaps it would be easier to review with a tablet or iPad.I received this product free or at a discounted price, in exchange for my honest review. For the past few years I have been using a Jack Lalane Power Juicer Xpress, and various recipes from different juicer books and juicing lifestyle websites. One problem I had right off the bat was this book said that juicing can replace your daily water intake. In my experience this is just bad advice, because you want to drink as much water as you are juice. Yes, juice has water in it, but it is also very sugary since you are missing most of the fiber from the fruits and vegetables. You will want more water when on a juicing diet.The intro to this book also talks of fresh vegetable juice being an appetite suppressant, which will sorely disappoint anyone who is new to juicing. Again, juice lacks the fiber from the vegetables, and therefore the satiety of the juice is remarkably low.Once I got to the the benefits and tips, I was 50/50. This book uses a lot of buzzwords to lure people in, and honestly makes claims that juicing can not live up to. Prevent cancer? Juicing can lower your risk, but claiming a flat out prevention is misleading. I did like how this book stresses to not add sugar to the juices unlike some other juicing books I have seen.Where this book redeems itself, though, is with the recipes. They are easy to follow, instruct you when to peel and when not to peel the fruits or veggies, and are easy to make. There is a nice blend of green juices, vegetable juices, and sweet fruit juices. Each recipe include an order to juice the produce as well to help clean out the juicer and get the most juice as you go.This book also goes over a general juicing diet, but the section is halfway through, and gives a small break in the recipes. I feel it would have been more beneficial for this section to be in the beginning of the book, after the benefits and tips but before the recipes. Placing it in the middle of all the recipes is more likely for it to be ignored. For what I view to be an important section, I’m glad I stopped at the pages of solid text in the middle.I liked this book strictly for the recipes, but did not see it as a good overall guide for juicing. The layout threw me off and some of the tips and benefits in the beginning were very misleading.I received this e-book for free in exchange for my honest review. This review is 100% my own words.
